Back to School with Power Plus
Charmian Christie, co-owner of Power Plus Electrical & Plumbing Hardware in Montego Bay, Jamaica, has long been a pillar of the Tower Hill community. In addition to running a trusted local business, she serves faithfully as the Pastor’s assistant and Treasurer at Tower Hill Baptist Church. Having grown up in Tower Hill herself, Charmian carries a deep passion for serving her people and investing in the next generation.
Every year, Power Plus partners with Tower Hill Baptist Church to host a vibrant Health and Wellness Fair and Back-to-School Treat for the Tower Hill and Mount Salem communities. Together, they promote a medical clinic that provides essential care for children in both communities, ensuring families have access to the support they need.
For more than 12 years, Power Plus has also led a dedicated back-to-school supplies drive helping students begin each school year with confidence, dignity, and the tools they need to succeed. This annual effort has become a lifeline for many families and a joyful tradition that celebrates education, community, and hope.
This year, the GO Committee is honored to partner with Power Plus to expand this effort even further. Together, we are raising funds to provide school supplies so that no child goes without.
