“In 1995 my youth minister, Stan Green took a group of high schoolers on a mission trip to Jamaica. This trip forever changed me and helped me see a world beyond my own. It began my love for serving others and being willing to live sent wherever God calls me. Most days it’s my home, my classroom, my church, and my community but taking this trip 30 years ago has since provided me with the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and follow God’s call to Ethiopia multiple times, to Guatemala, and even back to Jamaica 30 years later with Stan’s amazing wife, Regina. The work being done in Jamaica now honors Stan’s memory & his legacy of loving like Jesus to the ends of the earth and it has been a blessing to be a part of it.”
